GRAND COLTY LAND TAKEN what Is believed to be a portion of the plan of secretary lane to provide homestead for returning soldiers had its inception yesterday when an order withdrawing several thousand acres of land in grand county along the green river aras received at the local united states land office the land withdrawn according to the designation of the order will be used tor storage of the waters of the colorado river and to provide bites tor the colorado utah and dewey reservoirs contemplated lor construction st and tor which plans have been under consideration by the government tor doroe time while no details concerning the proposed work have been received as yet at the salt lake office of the land department there Is reason to believe that the project will be extensive and that the work will be begun without unnecessary delay tribune
