Show BLANDING MAN OLDEST UTAH PIONEER OF 1847 IS DEAD john R young of blanding 94 years of age said by the L D 8 church historian to be the oldest utah pioneer of 1847 died at provo tuesday following a several days daye illness mr young went to salt lake city in july to attend the covered wagon celebration and had been visiting in provo since then the body was shipped to blanding today for burial mr young had been a resident of blanding for about 20 years and was well known throughout southeastern utah he was nephew of brigham young mrs prank frank graham and daughters billy and betty lee moved to grand junction the last of tie week where they will reside this winter mr graham drives the moab garage freight truck between moab and grand junction |
