Show IP(nIlnBe Driving under the influence influ-ence pulled ahead of false alarms as the crime of the week during the Memorial Day holiday. All but one of this week's five reported offenders were nabbed on Park Avenue. The suspects were: Ernest D. Scow of Salt Lake City, Teri L. Newfang of Sandy, Susan Auger of Park City, Nathan Ray Parker of Salt Lake City and Kenneth M. TedfordofPeoa. The police report also turned up an addendum to the Main Street fire story which appeared in last week's Newspaper. It seems that when Detective Lloyd Evans began investigating the firefdamage,' he dis--covered three marijuana plants complete with grow-lights grow-lights and self-timers in the rear apartment. Evans confiscated con-fiscated the plants and the cultivating equipment and he is continuing the investigation. investi-gation. On May 26, Richard Pierce of Park City reported that his car had been vandalized while it was parked at the Holiday Inn. He said the rear window had been broken. And on May 27, Bruce Juhl of Park City told police that his Park Avenue home had been broken into. He said that a pair of JBL speakers and $75 had been taken. On the same day, the Wooley West was broken into for the second' time this month. Nothing seemed to be missing, but several plants had been overturned. On May 29, Officer Leo Witt found a BMX bicycle in the creek which runs through the Racquet Club condos. Witt checked the creek and , pond carefully;, to discern ' whether someone had been hurt but found no other clues. The weather was so nice over the weekend that someone some-one decided to camp out on the golf course. The sleeping stranger, however, made nearby residents nervous. They called the police, who asked him to move on. |
