B The absorption of the Daynes Music Company B by the Carstensen and Anson Music Company, B during the week, for a consideration of $40,000.00 B is the biggest deal in music that has taken place B in this city. B Besides 125 pianos, organs, pianolas, and the B good will of the retiring firm, all small instru- B ments, fixtures and sheet music are included in the big transaction. J. J. Daynes, Jr., the former efilcient manager of the company which bore his name, will attend to old accounts, and for the present be at his usual desk. The progressive Carstensen, Anson Company ts busily engaged moving its stock from the old location to the store rooms formerly owned by the Daynes people, where their business will be transacted in the future. A. B. Carstensen, who is vice president, will be the general manager, and Fred Dern will take an active part in the management of tho concern. John Dern is president, J. H. Anson secretary, P. I. Anson treasurer and George Dern a director. |
