Show Mutual Opening Social. Miss Annie Masters and Mr. Ernest Er-nest Sheen are presidents of the Young Ladies' and Young Mens1 Mutual organizations for this year. The opening social was held Tuesday Tues-day evening in the L. D. S. church. Games and a program furnished the entertainment and refreshments were served to 120 people. J-Copperfleld J-Copperfleld Auxiliary. The Copperfleld Firemen auxiliary auxili-ary entertained at shower on Monday in compliment to Mrs. Leonard ' Mace. The evening ' was spent playing "500" and Cootie. Prizes were awarded for the game of '500' to Mrs. Eva Watson and Mrs. Grace Gray. In the Cootie game high scores were held by Mrs. Joe Favatello and Mrs. Frank Wride. Late refreshments were served to fifty-four guests. i I Bridge Breakfast. . Mrs. Mike Brisk was I ' high score, winner.. , ' y J- ' . . No. 2 Fire Auxiliary. Mrs. John West was hostess Monday Mon-day evening to fourteen ladies of the No. 2 fire auxiliary. After regular re-gular business, tables were arranged arrang-ed for bridge, with Mrs. Ted Robl-J on winning first, Mrs. Lawrence West second high score and Mrs. Ross Marriott the house prize. A late ' luncheon was served. Bridge Club Entertained. i Mrs. Gordon Buckles entertained i her bridge club Friday evening. Mrs. Herb Gust won high score prize, Mrs. Jack Davis second high. Following the card games covers were laid for eight, ladles for a delicious de-licious bridge supper. No. I Fire Auxiliary. Mrs. Earl James was hostess to sixteen members of the No. 1. auxiliary aux-iliary Monday evening In the fire hall. Following . the regular business busi-ness discussion bridge games were played at which Mrs. Loren Stokes was high score winner, Mrs. Alvln Peterson second high and Mrs. Art Cook winner of the consolation award. Mrs. Barnett Hostess. Miss Agnes Barnett was hostess to the C. T. Club at her home last Friday. The evening was spent playing games at which Miss As-pacla As-pacla Brown and Miss Mary Kokles were awarded prizes. Guests Included Includ-ed Mary Jones, Dorothy Varanakis, Aspacla Brown, Katherine Pazell, Betty Byrne and Mary Kokles. Late refreshments were served. Bridge Luncheon. Mrs. R. E. Davis entertained Mrs. P. O Loveless, Mrs. Eugene Hallo-well, Hallo-well, Mrs. Ted Rogers and Mrs. E. W. Nepple, at a bridge luncheon, last Tuesday afternoon. J- ' Mrs. Maley Hostess. Mrs. Art Maley entertained members mem-bers of the G. G. G. G. club at the Weasku Inn on Highland drive In Salt Lake City, Friday afternoon. A luncheon was served to sixteen followed by bridge. . Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Joe Denver was hostess to the Rebekah Lodge members at her home in Copperton Tuesday evening. even-ing. A program had been arranged commemorating the 85 anniversary of the founding of Rebekah-Oddfel-lowshlp. Mrs. Frank Meade read a paper on the "Founding of the Rebekah Re-bekah Lodge" and the following musical numbers were presented: Paul Parlssentl, cornet solo; Billy Denver, piano solo. Three tables of 500 were in play following the business meeting. Mrs. Andy Kreason was high score win-- win-- ner. |
