If you find ono capture It, It may bo worth money mon-ey to you. i Tho balloon will carry a pennant bearing on ono side tho name of the San Diego Ad club and on tho other the San Diego 1915 .Exposition, and It will have come from San Diego, where ten thousand of them are to be released "Ilalloon Day," May 23. Tho Ad club will offer h reward lor tho return of tho baloon which has traveled the great dlstanco from San Diego, in addition to which a number num-ber of merchants, whoso cards will also bo carried by the mtnlaturo balloons, bal-loons, will pay various rewords for tho return of their cards. The small balloons aro not the toy affairs made of rubber, commonly sold to children by street peddlers, but aro made of regulation aoronautn Bilk, and aro provided with a net, being be-ing In every respect regular trtr going go-ing balloons. Tho balloons aro ton Inches In diameter, and It Is quite likely somo of them may bo picked up or captured a long wny from tho starting point. In place of tho regulation car, carried car-ried by largo passenger balloons, the Ad club traveler will carry the Imposition Im-position and Ad club pennant, and a small rock of cards of tho prize giving giv-ing merchants. It will bo Imposslblo for tho club to be victimized In tho collection of a reward not earned under tho terms of tho offer, owing to n keying of words nnd letters carried by tho llttlo llt-tlo traveler, which will glvo tho fortunate for-tunate finder tho necessary evldenco of his good faith In tho collection of his prl7o money. Somo months ago, while a circus was visiting tho city, a traveler bought a common toy balloon which ho attached his card, and liberated. Later this balloon was captured a Portland, Oregon, and tho traveler who had released It In San Diego, received re-ceived his card and a letter from tho person who captured it In tho "City of Roses. ' This gave tho San DIogo Ad club Its cue to tho present ' ilalloon ila-lloon Day," but a much better grnd of balloon was decided upon nnd ten thousand of them contracted for. Tho San Diego 1915 Exposition entered en-tered Into tho scheme, and the double pennant was devised. A full announcement regarding the key system of lettering carried by the balloons; which Is to be addressed to secure the rewards offered,, and fur ther Information concerning "Jiailoon Day" will be published In ample tlmj before tho release day of tho San Diego trnvelors. |
