Show lions club actors will stage fashion revue for street benefit handsome female impersonal tors to display latest costume creations dance and supper also planned to raise funds for main street improvement pro A community entertainment dance and supper to raise funds to aid in defraying the costs of paving main street will be staged at moab on march 17 this was decided yesterday by a committee made up of representatives of the various local organizations who had been appointed by mayor J T learning it Is hoped to raise at least at the affair which with other funds in sight will meet the cost of the improvement of main street the entertainment will take the form of a fashion revue in which members of the lions clubs and other male citizens of moab will make up the cast miss grayce goudelock who has had a great deal of training and experience in dramatic work will direct the performance members of the lions club have pledged themselves to answer any call that might be made on them in furthering the success of the entertainment so it is certain that there will be no lack of talent while there will doubtless be a scramble among the would be actors for the female roles miss goudelock by the liberal use of diplomacy may be able to make her selections without creating too much jealousy and friction A feature of the performance will be the costuming as the latest modes of female attire will be displayed the performance will be given at the moab recreation hall following the show a dance will be staged at the goodmen woodmen hall at which carnival and sideshow side show attractions will be featured during the dance supper will be served in the banquet hall of the L D S church the committee in charge of the benefit is made up of the following miss grayce goudelock representing the town miss helen taylor women a literary club mrs W D hammond mrs J wallard Nl chols tuesday club C J meador goodmen woodmen of the world mars pope lions club A H newman moab schools and mayor learning the committee Is already hard at work on plans for the affair and there is no doubt that an evening of great enjoyment for old and young will be the result of their efforts it is planned to keep the price of admission at a nominal amount so that every citizen of the community will be able to attend the date has been selected tentatively as march 17 |
