Sec! ion 15. SIGNALLING WHEN At'.OI T TO STOP, TURN. OR BACK, livery person in charge of a vehicle v bi'M about, to stop, shall signal persons per-sons in charge of vehicles in the rear by raisiiip; their hand, and in case such person is about to turn off the street or turn around, he shall indi cate to persons in charge of vehicles in the rear the direction in which he proposes to turn. No person in charge of vehicle shall back the same without ample warning having been given by him; and, while backing unceasing un-ceasing vigilance must be exercised not to injure person or property in the rear. Section 10. CHILDREN OPERATING OPER-ATING VEHICLES. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for the owner or person in charge of any vehicle to permit the same to be operated or driven on the streets of Gunnison City by any person per-son tinder the age of sixteen years, and it shall be unlawful for any person per-son under the age of sixteen years to operate or drive any vehicle upon any street in Gunnison City. Section 17. PENALTY. Any person per-son violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,1 be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred and ninety-nine dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. im-prisonment. There is hereby enacted en-acted a new Ordinance relating, to traltic and travel on the streets of Gunnison City, Utah, as follows: Section 1. DEFINITION. The following fol-lowing terms wherever used in this Ordinance shall have -the meaning indicated. in-dicated. Any such terms used in the singular singu-lar shall include the plural, and any such terms used in the plural shall include the singular. Those used in the masculine gender shall include as well feminine and neuter genders. PERSON. Any natural person, firm, company, partnership, or cor-poration. cor-poration. STREET. That part of the public highway intended for vehicles. CURB. The boundaries of a street as defined herein. VEHICLE. All conveyances except ex-cept baby-carriages. MOTOR VEHICLE. All vehicles propelled by any other than muscular power. DRIVER. The rider, driver, or leader of a horse; a person who pushes, drives, or propels, operates or is in charge of a vehicle. PARK. A waiting vehicle except vehicles stopped to load or unload. . Section 2. VIOLATION. . It shall be unlawful for any person to violate the provisions of this Ordinance or fail to observe or obey any of the requirements re-quirements and restrictions thereof. Section 3. HOW TO APPROACH CURB. Every person in charge of a vehicle shall, on Main Street between Center Street and Second South Street, in parking such vehicle, approach ap-proach the curb at an angle of forty-five forty-five degrees and in such manner that the front right wheel shall, 'when stopped, be approximately fifteen ' inches from the curb, and no part of such vehicle less than three feet from the nearest part of any other vehicle standing near the curb. It shall be' unlawful to park any vehicle with any wheel of same in any-gutter. Section 4. DISTANCE FROM FIRE HYDRANT OR SUPPLY STATION. STA-TION. It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle in any of the public streets where any part of the same is within ten feet of either a - . Fire Hydrant or a gasoline supply station. Section 5. No person shall drive, ride, or propel or cause to he driven, ridden, or propelled, any animal or vehiclv. upon or along any street of Gunnison City at a speed greater than is reasonable rea-sonable and safe, having ctuo regard for the width, grade, character, and common use of. sueh street, or so as to endanger life, limb, or property in any respect whatever; or at a speed greater than fifteen miles per hour on any street within the corporate limits of said City. Ses'tioii 12. RULES OF HIGHWAY. HIGH-WAY. That all rules to be observed on the highway, and the use of motor mo-tor vehicles thereon, as contained, in Title -69 of the Compiled Laws of Utah, 1917, and amendments tl.e-ie-of, relating to the use of motor vehicles ve-hicles on public highways are hereby adopted and made applicable to all of the streets of this City except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance. Section 13. INTOXICATED DRI-, VER. It shall be unlawful for any person while under the influence of into:icatinflg liquor to drive, ride, propel or have charge of any animal or vehicle upon any street in this City. Section 11. NAILS.
