Show Motorcycle Scramble Sponsored By Combined LDS Wards The Second and Eighth Ward Explorer Post is sponsoring a Motorcycle Scramble on Saturday, May 28. It will consist of a flat oval track and a cross-country trail. It has been necessary to include in-clude two events, so that there may be an overall consideration of abilities oval for speed and trail for endurance. The races on the oval track will be run in heats. The trail will be run as in- dividually timed races. Trophies will be awarded according to to tal points. Ribbons will also be . awarded to the winners of individual indi-vidual events. Registration will start Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 12:00 noon. Finals start at 1:00 p. m. It is necessary to have parent's signature to compete. Forms may be picked up at Hunter Hun-ter Hardware or Berrett Music. They must be filled out before registering. Cost will be $1.00. Admission Ad-mission to spectators will be free. Anyone may participate. Those under 16 years of age must have their bikes transported to the scramble (law prohibits driving on public roads). The Scramble will be held south of Cedar City, behind Southern Utah Auto Salvage Sal-vage (Condies). Bikes will compete according to class. Starting with mini- bikes and tote goats and up. |
