Show Swimming Pool Sets Official Opening Saturday, May 28 The Parowan City swimming pool will open on Friday of this week with "Freeze Day". The pool will not be completely heated heat-ed but any one wishing to brave the cold will be admitted free Friday from 4 to 6 p. m.. Th pool will open for regular swimming at 2 p. m. on Saturday Satur-day and will then be open daily between the hours of 2 and 8 p. m., according to Mrs. Vyonne Chamberlain, who will manage the pool again this season. The program for operating the pool this season will be as follows fol-lows according to Mrs. Chamberlain. Chamber-lain. Season tickets will go on sale at this opening and will be $15 for a family ticket, $7.50 for individual children under 18 and $10 for individual adult. Daily prices will be 25 cents and 50 cents. I Registration for swimming instruction in-struction will be held Wednesday, Wednes-day, June 1 at 9:30 a. m. at the pool and lessons will begin Monday, Mon-day, June 6. Classes will be taught by Mrs. Chamberlain, Beverly Caldwell and Maxine Stolk. The same classes which were taught last year will be taught again this year plus an advansed swimming class, survi-1 val swimming and an adult swimming class. Ladies' day for married ladies j will be held on Wednesday from 10 a. m. to 12 noon. Mrs. Chamberlain states that there are two rules and regulations regula-tions at the pool which will be strictly enforced this year. These are that no child under the age of six years will be permitted in either pool with out an adult to supervise him or her. The personnel per-sonnel at the pool are life-guards but not baby sitters. Secondly, no one, boy of girls, with long hair will be permitted in the pool without a swimming cap. This means hair that hangs below the ear. Other information concerning the pool operation will be published pub-lished as the need arises. So if all goes well we'll see you at the pool Saturday. |
