Show On Monday Mrs. Ed. Hosford had a narrow escape from being seriously injured. She was driving her husbands hus-bands horse and it suddenly took fright a ad runaway. The animal dashed outo the sidewalk and as the vehicle turned a corner the hind wheels came In contact con-tact with the fenee, breaking several pickets and slightly damaging the wagon seat. The jar threw Mrs. Hosford Hos-ford off the wagon and she fell Into the ditch, sustaining several severe brnises about the bead and shoulders but fortunately for-tunately no bones were broken. The horse continued its mad flight np the side walk as far as Cahoon's livery stable where it was stopped by J. C. Cahoon Jr. Several little children were playing in front of the stable and the runaway was within a few feet of them when it was stopped by Mr. Cahoon, who happened to show np just in the nick of time. |
