Show Trail I Rides i Bob's Trail Rides is name of a horseback outfit operating out of Moab. T!w organization is operated by Bob Sliupc and Karl Tan-gren, Tan-gren, both men of considerable consider-able experience In the wilds of the Canyon Counnlry. Talk abou', the romance of a western sunset the best way to see it is with Bob's evening trip. This is a daily event with horses making their way up the east wall of Moab Valley on an old trad On the next level an entirely different type of terrain is visited. Knobs of red-tinted sandstone (sec photo above) invite the riders to pause and look around. A great complex labyrinth of canyons can-yons and bald ridges greet the riders of the sage. From that upper level also are seen outstanding views of the green valley floor and the city streets far below. Above the sandstone knobs rise Utah's second highest peaks, the LaSals. Along the trail also are Indian writings called call-ed petroglyphs. Bob's Trail Rides offer more than just a scheduled tour. The organization is equipped with stock trucks to transport your party anywhere any-where in Canyon Country. You can choose daily trips into Arches National Monument Monu-ment along majestic Courthouse Court-house Wash, or horseback rides into the Windows section sec-tion of that monument. The LaSal Mountains also provide pro-vide an easy day's trip from Moab, trucking the horses to selected points first, then riding along pine-scented trails. Overnight trips can be arranged ar-ranged with no trouble at all into Canyonlands National Park or west of the Green River in the mysterious Robbers Rob-bers Roost Country. The Robbers Roost trip is a minimum min-imum of six days only such a trip you'll never forget for-get horsebacking with experts ex-perts into previous Indian haunts and into the Maze a jungle-like network of canyons. can-yons.
