Show Page 12 THE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS Volume II, Issue XIX October 1, 2000 Student News Message from the Weber High School PTSA Board By Rosemary White, Weber High PTSA President The Weber High School PTSA theme this year is, “We’re all on the same team.” Our state PTSA theme is, “Because we care.” The reason we’re all on the same team is because we all care. As a PTSA board, we support our team captain Weber High Principle Mr. Carl Bruce, and will do everything we can to help and support the students at Weber High. The board had its “kick-off” meeting on August 8, introducing all of the team players of the PTSA board. The board’s fund-raiser for the year was the “first day of school” stomp. The PTSA had great support from the students and the community, allowing the board to earn $1,812.69. Local merchants from Eden—The Valley Market, Maverik, and First Security Bank—all made a big score by donating door prizes that were distributed at the stomp. A big “thank you” for your generous support. The PTSA board is looking forward to this year’s annual Reflections contest that will be held in November. This year’s theme is, “It would really be strange if . . . “ Entries are due a scholarship. Entry forms will be available in the Weber High office. Cindy Esterholdt is the PTSA Reflections Chair.
