We have had a cold spring, within a week fires have been necessary for comfort com-fort in houses, a good many people have growled at the weather, but not many people here can even comprehend the horror of seeing men and animals prostrated by tens and hundreds in the streets through the heat. It gives to -people a creepy feeling, for no one knows whose turn will come next. Salt Lake sometimes gets pretty warm, but Salt Lake, smiling under her roses and vines, is a much more comfortable and attractive place than one where on every street corner an ambulance can be seen carrying away the fainting faint-ing and the dead. |
