Show Advisory Cabinet recommends three amendments to vass-fail The pass-fail system, change to pass-D-fail during summer quarter or 1967, was discussed previously in a sound-off sponsored by the Advisory Cabinet. The newly proposed program would give students credit for achieving A, B, or C grades and no credit for a D or F. The proposal was made by Frank McKean, director of admissions. Advisory Cabinet's recommendations will be presented to Grading Practices Committee Feb. 20. In their Wednesday meeting, cabinet members agreed to ennport the proposed change of a pass-audit system, recommended I Lt a proposed 90 hour maximum for taking any class on he pass-fail basis be changed to 45 hours or a sophomore standing, and requested the removal of a mandatory departmental advisor's signature to be replaced with departmental requirement to state ahead of registration whether or not they will accept a pass-audit class toward major graduation requirements. |
