Bertha Angus A meeting of the Ioka Democrats Demo-crats was held at Archie Benson's Ben-son's residence Monday, April 5, to elect officers and select a delegate vto the county convention conven-tion at Duchesne April 10. Archie Arch-ie Benson was elected precinct chairman and Violet Gentry vice chairwoman. Robert Marchant attended the county convention at Duchesne as a delegate. del-egate. Mrs. Tom Gentry spent Wednesday Wed-nesday at Upalco with Mrs. Myrtle Myr-tle Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mabbitt and children, of Price, visited Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Timothy and Mr. and Mrs. . Reed Lemon Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson visited in Roosevelt, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Mecham, , of Hancock Cove, visited here1 Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson, of Roosevelt, called at the home of Mr. and. Mrs. Ned Gines, Sunday afternoon. Sharlyn Stone entertained 6 Roosevelt girl friends at her home Wednesday evening of last week, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. . Ir.,and Mr. Willis Loury announce an-nounce the birth of a son at the Roosevelt hospital, Saturday, April 10. Robert Gillespie, of Roosevelt, and John Hacking, of Ft. Duchesne, Du-chesne, were speakers in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Michie went to Salt Lake Saturday to get the baby boy born April 2, which they are planning to adopt. The Michies have had their application on file at the. adoption agency for 4 years. A family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Percival Friday. This is the first time all members of the family have been together since 1942. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Percival and 2 sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scott, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bracken, of Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Percival and children, and Evan and Florence Percival and Mr. 1 and Mrs. Charles Percival. |
