Pritchett this week announced her intention of becoming a candidate for the posi- tion of representative from the Fourth Legislative district, on the Democratic ticket. Her statement concerning her ! activities and intentions was submitted sub-mitted to the Springville Herald this week as follows: "I was born in Provo, a granddaughter grand-daughter of Utah pioneers. I received re-ceived my education at BYU and public high school at Provo. I have since . taken special courses in political science, art and literature, liter-ature, n "I am a member of the Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers, Hafen-Dal-lin Art Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Relief Society and Utah County Womens Legislative Council. Coun-cil. "I have taught in Primary and Mutual and was art and publicity chairman of the PTA. I have always al-ways worked trying to improve the community in which I live. I have always been a Democrat and held office the last five years. At present I am the Utah county co-chairman. "I am a wife of a war veteran and during the last war was a government inspector. "I believe in upholding the constitution con-stitution of our government, good schools, the rights of all people, honesty in government, low taxes as long as it does not jeopardize the health and education of the people and high moral standards. "I am an American and will fight at all times to keep America a free and loving people. "There is no one person nor special group that is sponsoring me. I will have everyone at heart and will try to do what is best for all." v |
