Show I BEAVER CHURCH NEWS John R. Yardley, recently returned re-turned missionary, spoke at the Third Ward's Sunday night meeting. He told of the approach used by the missionaries in the mission field and also spoke of many experiences while spending spend-ing the past two years in the Central States Mission. Editha cardley, his mother, also commented about her son and his fine work. The musical portion of the program was furnished by a trio, made up of Ireta Baker, Ina McQuarrie and Kathleen Farnsworth. A large crowd was present at the First Ward Sacrament serv-. serv-. ices to hear a report given by Arnell Gale, a missionary who returned last week from a mission mis-sion in the Northwestern states. Arnell told many interesting experiences and urged all young people to work for such ' an experience, because it would mean so much to them. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Gale, also gave talks on their son's work and what it meant to them, and also told of the trip theyttook tc set Arneli when he was reliased. Norma Sledge sang a very beautiful song, accompanied by Donna Cartwright. The first and second ward MIA girls' softball team has remained re-mained undefeated in the stake and will take first place in the league. A softball tournament will be held in Beaver on July 22 and 23 with three games being be-ing played each afternoon. Five teams will participate to determine de-termine the championship of the tournament, and trophies will be awarded Tuesday at the ball park. Everyone is invited to attend at-tend this tournament and see the girls play.
