Show 'Biggest Ever' Parade Planned for Beaver 24th Celebration By Julie Ann Farrer The program and parade during dur-ing the day of the 24th will be under the direction of the three Beaver Wards, with Roy Yard-,iey Yard-,iey acting as general chairman. Roy Yardley, John White and Robert Lee are in charge of the sports for the. day; Karl Farns-' Farns-' worth, Sumner Murdock and Loyal Baldwin are members of the program committee; the parade pa-rade will be under the direction of Evan Neilsen, James Williams and Reed Smith. The Sunday School is urging that everyone participate to make the parade bigger and better bet-ter than ever before, with special spe-cial emphasis on the church organizations and business houses. The theme this year will be early pioneers and settlers. All riding clubs, Indians, In-dians, clowns, pioneer buggies, mining equipment, in 'fact anything any-thing pertaining to the West, will be included in the parade. The parade wll begin promptly (Continued on Back Page) Hera's Mors About Beaver 24th Continued irom Page One at 10 o'clock and all participants are urged to be on the street north of the Belknap school at 9:30. There will be no band this year but arrangements are being be-ing made to provide music for the parade. Prizes will be given in all divisions. The girls who will represent Miss Beaver, Miss Utah, and the Goddess will be chosen from the three wards on their merits. Sports will be held on the city park for the children immediately im-mediately following the program. pro-gram. The afternoon will be taken up by horse races at the Beaver race track and the dance at Ken-yon Ken-yon Grove will climax the day's proceedings. People from other towns are especially invited to join with Beaver in making the entire day a success. |
