Show but owing to the influenza epidemic it was necessary to postpone all public pub-lic meetings. Mr. and Mrs Earl Cook of Axtell are redoicicg over the arrival of a fine baby girl. The little Miss arrived ar-rived at the home of the parents last Monday evening. Sam Schwartz of the State board of health spent a few days here last week. He was just returning from the southern sections where he had been on official business. Hickman, superintendent for the Telluride Power company, with headquarters at Richfield, was here Wednesday in the interest of his company. Plans are now under way to arrange ar-range a reception to the returning soldier boys. ' The matter lias been under consideration for some time. Dr. and Mrs. C. J. Heath and son, Gordon, spent Tuesday night in the city, Tliey were just returning from Salt Lake and Wednesday morning they continued their journey to their home at Marysvale. The "Freshies" hop at the Peterson Peter-son hall last Saturday night proved one of the social and enjoyable features feat-ures of the week A iarge crowd of merrymakers was present and a delightful de-lightful time was had. Delicious punch was served the guests. The welcome-home party in honor of Fred Fjeldsted at tne Relief society hall last Wednesday night, proved a most enjoyable affair and the 200 or more that were present, were delightfully delight-fully pleased. An interesting program was rendered and the evening was enlivened en-livened by games and a social time. Mr. Fjeldsted has just returned from a mission to British Columbia, after an absence of two and and a half years. |
