Show 0 1 I TI1 1 i f TWO MORE CASES I J Indictments Found Against Edward Brain and Wm A Coulter AimingSic six iodictmente reported by the Grand Jury last week was one against Edward Brain who was brought before Commissioner McKay The indictment charges both polygamy and unlawful cohabitation but the allegations differ somewhat from those contained in the complaint It is alleged that he married his first wife Susan Martin in the town of Bath England November 1st 1842 and another Jane Peters on January 1st 1883 The indictment further charges that between January 1st 1883 and January Jan-uary 1st 1884 Brain unlawfully cohabited with more than one woman towit Vlth Mary Brain Mary Ann Johnson and Jane Peters Brain was brought into court this morning and arrigned and was allowed the statutory time to plead He was then taken before Commissioner McKay and his bonds renewed Wm A Rossiter was also arrested by Deputy Marshal Sprague under an indictment indict-ment reported last week This indictment charges unlawful cohabitation and alleges that the defendant between May 1st 1883 and April 1st 1885 did unlawfully cohabit with more than one woman to wit With Eliza A Crabtree Rossiter and with one Myra Young Rossiter was taken before Commissioner McKay and furnished bonds in the sum of one thousand thou-sand dollars W C Spence and 0 P Arnold being accepted as sureties Hc will be arraigned tomorrow Rossiter is i wellknown in Salt Lake being the treasurer of the Salt Lake Theatre and the presiding genius the boxoffice |
