Show Kaon Summer Bash Regatta highlights weeklong fun sv " N. by Gary Boyle Hilltop Times staff A boisterous t row! gathered around the Youth Fishing Pond underneath a sweltering sun Aug. 8 to see who would rule the waves fur a day at the 2ml Annual Cardboard Regatta. The regatta wa a major event in the weeklong Summer Hash, which the 75th Services Division held for Team Hill members. Team placed their recycled cruisers along the shore preparation to find whose craft would prove to be Many learned quickly though the waters were calm but unforgiving to those vessels unprepared to repel moisture as many a boat sank or capsized upon entry. The race was once around the island, a journey that took a toll on boats that started in one piece but lost portions of its hull along the way. One team was left paddling the remains of their disintegrating craft to shore.
