Garing honored Green for outstanding support to the warfighter in operations; her leadership in data center consolidations; the Year 2000 issues; implementing the Defense logistics Agency's primary distribution system; and supjxjrting the Defense Finance and Accounting Service's modernization project. "I have been so proud for the past 26 years to have worn this uniform and for all the things that it represents," she said, adding that family values instilled by her mother and great grandmother stuck with her throughout her career, and set the tone for w hat was a perfect fit for her and the Air Force. As a final touch to the ceremony, the Honor Guard rolled out a red carpet, and formed a saber arch intertwined with n a bayonet arch. Green's decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal, with five oak leaf cluster; Air Force Commendation Medal; Air Force Achievement Medal; and various outstanding achievement awards for units she commanded.
