Show j Ten Years Ago L - Jw (Taken from files of March 13, 1926) Alexander Bullock, 87, oldest man in Pleasant Grove, died here Satur- day morning following an illness extending over .several month:;. Mr. Bullock and his family have won a place in the heart;; of Hie people of this city and will lorg be remembered re-membered by all. Ten Years Ago Now A part of the clothing, jewelery and some checks recently stolen from the Cullimore Mercantile Co. have been recovered and two men placed in the Salt Lake County jail. The clothing and Jewelry were given to different people who were wearing wear-ing it at the time of Identification. Checks were pas.v-d at the Z. C. M. I. and at hotels throughout the city. Ten Years Ago Now Going into the state basketball tournament as the runner-up team from Utah county, the Pleasant Grove team spring a surprise when they won the t,econd and third games. This will give them the opportunity op-portunity of staying the tournament tourna-ment through although they cannot win a position better than fifth place on account of losing the first game. The Stake M Men basketball cup I goes to the Pleasant Grove First ward after winning over the American Ameri-can Fork Third ward Monday night. Misses Judith Sjoberg and Verda Hilton entertained Saturday at a miscellaneous shower in honor of Mrs. William Goldsworth, formerly Miss Alice Sjoberg, at the home of here parents. |
