Show Wigwam Is Scene Of Activity The summer season of the Wigwam opens Monday when scouts may register for a three-day three-day stay. The swimming pool is in Al condition according to Charles Char-les Price director. Scouters of the council are invited to attend every ev-ery Wednesday night during the summer. Two hikes are being conducted at the present time for scouts of the Salt Lake area, the Honor Hike which began today, and the Wasatch High-line Trail Hike which starts Monday and ends Friday. The Honor Hike is par-Hcinated par-Hcinated in bv the "A" Patrols of the Camporee wth over one hundred scouts making the trek and will be overnight to Saturday. They will hike from Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood Canyon over the pass into Mill Creek Canyon and down to the Wigwam under the leadership of Royal Stone. The Wasatch High-line Trail Hike is intended for Explorer scouts and Senior scouts who are over fifteen years. Joe Gill, Claud Bird and Bill Davis are in charge of the outing and will break the group into two sections, to begin at Farmington and go by way of Black Mountain, Lambs Canyon and then into Mill Creek Canyon. The South section will start at Wildwood Camp in Provo Canyon and go by way of Aspen Grove, Brighton, Dog Lake and down Mill Creek Canyon. They will meet at the Wigwam on Friday and conclude with ,a campfire program. About fifty fellows are expected in each section. |
