Show ) ' Parking Request Gets Approval Giving a unnanimous decision of approval on the request from the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce for two hours limited parking in the Sugar House business bus-iness district, the Salt Lake City commission acted on the matter Tuesday morning, according to Wendell J. Ashton, Chamber of Commerce president, who presented pres-ented the request for the Sugar House merchants. Along with the request for limited lim-ited parking was a request to (erect a sign on the plaza directing direct-ing persons wishing to park longer long-er than the alloted two hours, to the free parking lots that will be offered for public use. A survey was conducted several sever-al weeks ago to determine the best way to please the merchants in the district in regards to the traffic problem and yet overcome the long time parking by employees em-ployees and merchants' who parked park-ed their cars all day on the streets of the business district. PARKING LINES TO BE ALTERED Believing that it will permit the parking of many more cars on the streets of Sugar House, the city traffic department will change the outlines of the thirty degree angle parking spaces this week at the request of the traffic committee of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce. The thirty degree parking is proving helpful as far as being easier to park cars and allow greater street room is concerned but the lines were painted so wide that space is wasted, Sugar Merchants Mer-chants felt.
