Show 8 not up to the standard this week, the little vacation taken by the man doing the "heavies" on the News, can be assigned as a cause. Ranger Ed. Cox of the Manti National Nation-al Forest, was a Gunnison visitor Wednesday evening of this week. He was here on official business. Miss Ruth Perkins, accompanied by her friend, Rellis Whittier, of San-taquin,are San-taquin,are guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Perkins. Miss R. L. Crabtree of Salt Lake' came down last Monday and will be the guest of her sisters, Mrs. T. W. Bath and Mrs. A. E. Park, for a week or ten days. Mrs. F. H. Jones was hostess to the 1 members of the Bos Art club Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon from two to five thirty. Mrs. J. E. Metcalf give the reading during the needlecraft hour. Mrs. Jones served a delicious luncheon at five o'clock. Miss Mary Jensen of Parker, Idaho, ' was here this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jensen. Miss I Jensen is teaching at Parker, and owing to the short vacation given the teachers at the Idaho city, had to return to her duties Wednesday morning. The Bonne Foi club members were the guests of Mrs. C. M. Edwards yesterday afternoon at the regular bimonthly bi-monthly meeting. The reading during the needlecraft hour was given by Mrs. Conrad Frischknecht and was highly enjoyed. Mrs. Edwards served light refreshments at five o'clock. Local News Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rasmussen spent Christmas and the early days of the week with relatives at Ephraim. Miss Mabel Peterson of Salt Lake, is here for the holidays. She came down last Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. Frischknecht and the Frischknecht children, were guests of relatives at Manti Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Christiansen were guests of friends and relatives at Fairview and Mt. Pleasant Christmas day. William Williams of Samaria, Idaho, is spending the holiday week with his sister, Mrs.C. Dewey Lund at Center-field. Center-field. Mayor J. W. Jones is back from a short visit to Salt Lake. He spent Christmas with Mrs. Jones and his son, Robert. Mrs. Ellen 'Hofheins, who spent Christmas with friends and relatives at Springville, has returned to her home in Gunnison. Miss Faith Haines, of the Wasatch Academy faculty, is the house guest of Miss Josie Curtis and Miss L. F. Mc-Mnnigal Mc-Mnnigal this week. Or and Mrp. Nelson Beal, who were guests of relatives at a Christmas dinner at Ephraim, have returned to their home in this city. Mrs. M. K. Harvey of portland, Ore. , is the guest at the home of her son, R. K. Stubbs. She expects to remain here for two weeks or more. Bert Willardson.the stockman, returned return-ed from Salt Lake last Monday evening. He was at the capitol city disposing of a large shipment of cattle. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cherry and Wesley Cherry, spent Christmas day with Judge and Mrs. J. W. Cherry and family at Mt. Pleasant.
