She was born June 20, 1913, in Huntsville, to Alfred and Elizabeth Stromberg. On May 19, 1938, she married Richard W. Harrop, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 17, 1989. A resident of North Ogden, she graduated from Ogden High School and Weber College. CONROE, Texas — Angus Dan McKay, 48, passed away Saturday morning, June 7, 2003, in Conroe, Texas. He had been hospitalized unexpectedly the day before. Dan was born in Ogden, Utah on April 16, 1955, the son of John Angus and Neva Pearl Corbett McKay of Huntsville. He spent his entire childhood and most of his adult life in Huntsville. He attended Valley Elementary and Valley Junior High and graduated from Weber High School in 1973. He was a member of the LDS Church, Huntsville Stake, and participated in scouting and seminary. He greatly enjoyed the 4-H program, both as a member and as a leader, and won several state championships in horsemanship. In June 1975, Dan married Annette Roberts of Washington Terrace. They had two children and divorced in 1981. Dan was an outstanding driver and heavy equipment operator, and used his skills in various jobs throughout his life, notably the Utah Department of Transportation. He was also a skilled and experienced stockman and worked from time to time as a horse trainer and sheepherder. He had a lifelong love of animals, and was never in his life without a horse and a dog. He loved to ride, and he knew the mountains and trails of Ogden Mr. & Mrs. Zachary Warner She is an active member of the LDS Church and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her interests include crafts, quilting, and card games with her grandchildren. Her children and their spouses are Gary and Linda Harrop, North Ogden; John and Sharon Harrop, Riverdale, Ronald Harrop, North Ogden; and Jon and Diane Ludwig, Syracuse. She has 15 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. Lowe-Warner David and Susan Lowe are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Hillary Beth Lowe to Zachary Cole Warner son of Theron C. and Carol Warner and Farrell and Angela DeHart. The couple was married in the Salt Lake Temple on Wednesday, June 25, 2003. A reception was held in their honor that evening at the home of Dr. George H. Jr. and Beth Lowe. Valley and Monte Cristo as few others ever have. He enjoyed camping, campfire and Dutch oven cooking, snowmobiling, Western swing dancing, fishing, and reading. In December 2002, Dan married Marjorie Lewis, and they moved to Crosby, Texas. Their life together was short, but they were very happy. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Lewis McKay of Texas; his daughter, Shelley McKay Clark, Rock Springs, Wyoming; his son, Angus T.J. (Emily) McKay, Ogden; one brother, James C. (Carson) McKay, Huntsville; two sisters, Susan McKay, Huntsville and Sandra McKay (Blaine Billings), Brigham City. His eight nieces and nephews loved their Uncle Dan who played such a big part in their younger years. Dan’s last five years were brightened and blessed by his three grandchildren, Tyson Ryley McKay Clark, Courtney Ann McKay, and Angus Reece Daniel McKay. Dan was preceded in death by his four grandparents and his parents. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 13, 2003, at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden.
