Show Hinchley's wilderness bill introduced in Congress, rips off Utah students Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-N.his Utah has wilderness bill (H.R. 1500) inU.S. Congress. The bill designates 5.7 million acres of Utah as federal wilderness - one of the most restrictive federal designations. Within the proposed wilderness is an estimated 630,000 acres of school trust land - land that is not federal land, land thatjs not Utah public land, but land that is held in trust for the financial benefit of Utahs schoolchildren.
