The Mullen vehicle began to leave on the west shoulder as the van hit his pickup on the left side driver door. The van came to rest in the west shoulder bar ditch and the pickup rolled a three-quarter- turn also coming to rest in the west bar Tufano's car under the wheels of the trailer and sent it onto the sidewalk only a few feet from gas tanks at Mike's Conoco. Main just jutting across the busy highway, directly into the path of an oncoming diesel. The '93 diesel truck, driven by Fred Truman Watson, 50, of Salt Lake City, was traveling south at approximately 30 miles per hour around 4:30 p.m. when it suddenly impacted the Olds on the drivers side and continued on for about a half block. The Olds luckily came to rest on the sidewalk in front of Mike's Conoco with both occupants able to exit the totaled wreckage. Mrs. Tufano suffered only minor bruises and contusions and was taken to Garfield Memorial Hospital for observation. ob-servation.
