Show RESTAURANTS DISCARD DIS-CARD SUGAR BOWLS The local restaurants underwent a change this week in the manner of serving sweetening with coffee and desserts. The sugar dish has been moved from the table and the customers custo-mers are no longer allowed to help themselves with that commodity. If you take sugar In coffee or tea or anything else the waiter knows how much to put in, and saves you that trouble. This system will mean quite a savin sav-in in sugar as there are a great many people who shovel up spoonful after spoonful an;? have their coffee almost like syrup before they know it, but that is now a thing of the past and will be practiced here no more until after the war. Also there is a reduction re-duction of bread and you get only one roll with a meal. |
