'"MAYOR'S PROCLAMATIONS WHRRHAS, President .irier and ilie Congress of ie I'uited Slates have ppiwed iukI called for a Vhttc House Conference on ibraries and Information services to be held in the Nalions Capitol November ' s 15 1 h rough 19, 1979; and WHEREAS, there have : been Governor's Conferences Conferen-ces throughout the Nation , U preceeding the White House , Conference; and WHEREAS, the Utah Gov- ernor's Conference, : held in Salt Lake City April 9-11. 9-11. 1979, generated an enthusiasm for libraries and a recognition that libraries have shown themselves to be enriching, entertaining, re- warding, and worthy, of support; and WHEREAS, the Governor has issued a proclamation in ( support of this program; and WHEREAS, many libraries librar-ies have expanded their offerings to include modern, up-to-date and current collections col-lections of non-print mater-ials, mater-ials, and although these materials reflect important technological advances, out of respect for the past and concern for the future, the basic tool recognized as v available inr all libraries throughout the State is the . book. NOW. THEREFORE. I, John C. Green. Mayor of the City of, Park City, Utah, do hereby' proclaim the date of November 15, 1979. as "Be With A Book For A Day" in Park City, Utah..
