Show Club Notes By Mrs. fcalph Box The Friday bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Don Draper on Saturday afternoon. Lavender and yellow colors were used on the table decorations and luncheon lunch-eon was served to the following members: Mmes. C. J. Beasley, Reed Bradshaw, Florence Cardon, Wilson Lunt, J. S. Prestwich. Morgan Rollo and Melvin Cowley Guests to the club were Mmes. Carl Harrison. O. D. Hole, Heber Sevy, Floyd Eyman, Oliver Harris. Har-ris. William Snow, George Croft. Miss Gladys McConnell and Mary L. Bastow. Order of Eastern Star U. D. held a regular meeting Monday-evening Monday-evening at the Presbyterian church. Refreshments were served serv-ed to the members and guest by Robert Smith. Harlan Durand and Robert Maddox. Officers Wives of the National Guard enjoyed dinner Thursday evening at El Escalante hotel and pictures were taken of each member to be sent to their husbands hus-bands overseas. Lt. Max Sullivan of St. George who just returned to the states gave the ladies first hand information of conditions condi-tions in Korea and messages to the wives. Mrs. Pat Fenton of Salt Lake City was down for the occasion. Mrs. Max Dalley of Parowan Par-owan and Mrs. Norton James were in charge of the affair. Mrs. Richard Morris entertained entertain-ed her club Wednesday evening at her home with two tables of bridge. Prizes were given for high scores to Mrs. Court Nelson, Mrs. Arthur Higbee and Mrs. Bruce Decker. The Wednesday bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Sam Gentry 'for dessert and bridge. Mrs. Jack Pace was a guest to the club. Prizes were given to Mmes Merrill Mer-rill Kunz, Vernon Cummings and Arthur Burnham. The next meet ing of members will be at the home of Mrs. Ray Lee. Sunday 18 members of the Youth Fellowship under the direction di-rection of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mohler and Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Stark enjoyed swimming at the LaVerkin resort and hiking and lunch at the Silver Reef mine, j Franklin lodge No. 27 of Cedar and Albert Pike 14 of Milford F. & A. M. met Saturday evening in Milford for a banquet and Joint session for the purpose of receiving Grand Lodge officers F. & A. M. cf Utah. Club members met at the home of Mrs. L. V. Broadbent, Monday evening for bridge and dessert. I Guests were Mrs. Dewie Olson and Mrs. Bert Carpenter. Miss Gladys McConnell was hostess to her Friday afternoon bridge club. Spring flowers adorned the tables for members and guests, Mmes Stanley Bradshaw, Brad-shaw, Demar Bowman, William Snow, Kumen Jones, Heber Sevy, Henry Oberhansley, C. R. Hunter, Carl Harrison, Wilson Lunt, Melvin Mel-vin Cowley, Don Draper and Gor-don Gor-don Christensen. |
