Show Inter-stake Dance Festival Set For Dixie May 26 The Inter-stake Dance festival to be presented in the Dixie Sun Bowl in St. George on May 2t5. at 8 p. m. will be a beautiful offering, of-fering, spectacular in its many details and the most outstanding entertainment project ever presented pre-sented in southern Utah, according accord-ing to officials in charge of the affair. There will he dance groups from Cedar City. Beaver. Paro. wan, Milford, Minersville, Kanab. Hurricane. Enterprise, Las Vegas and St. George taking part in this festival. It is expected that several communities not yet heard from will also have dance groups ready to participate in this event. Dancers from the several communities com-munities will participate in the dance creations and original floor show numbers. Some of the dance numbers require hundreds of dancers to participate in mass, which presents a beautiful com position of movement and colorful color-ful costuming under the lights. The various stakes and wards will also present their individual groups in special dance numbers. num-bers. The Viennese waltz, a very intricate in-tricate and fast moving dance, will be presented in a very finished fin-ished manner by a group of" skillful skill-ful dances from Cedar City. These and other dance groups from Cedar City have been directed di-rected by Mrs. Loren Whetten. There will be square dance numbers with sets from nearly every stake participating. Some dance groups will present original origin-al numbers danced with a finesse fines-se and beauty that will amaze. A special number entitled "The Spirit of M. I. A." an original composition by Fawn Pickett, St. George stake dance instructor and choreographer, will have its premiere in this inter-stake festival. fes-tival. This dance admirably typifies ty-pifies the very objective of M. I. A. in guiding the lives of young men and women. The Dixie Sun Bowl affords a beautiful setting for this wonderful won-derful festival and thousands will attend to add background to the colorful participants.
