Show DEATH TAKES Melvin Walter Rawlings, 27, son of Walter Ji'., and Lavon Cherry Rawlings o Smithfield, died Thursday evening at 10:30 at . the family home in Smith-field. Smith-field. The Rawlings family, former for-mer residents of Fairview and Preston, Idaho, moved recently to Smithfield. He had suffered a number of years from asthma. Melvin had been employed at the Grand theater at Preston and was a member of a popular Franklin, Frank-lin, Idaho, county dance orchestra. orches-tra. Following his school in his home county ha studied electricity electric-ity at Chicago. He was born April 24, 1914, at Fairview, Idaho. Surviving are his parents, a brother, Vernon, a sister, Lila, all of Smithfield, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rawlings of Hnger-man, Hnger-man, Idaho. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Preston .Sixth ward. |
