Wednesday, at the Logan Temple, Miss Lucy Yates, of Calls-fort, Calls-fort, was married to John II. Watkins, of this city; also Miss Esther Yates, of Callsfort, was united in marriage to John A. Simmons, of Beaver 13am. Both of the young brides are daughters of Thomas Yates, who is well and f;i vnr:ili! v k now n i.h ro u diou t the -j " o - county. Mr. Watkins is a son of our highly respected townsman, W. L. Watkins. Mr. Simmons is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Simmons, two oh 1 residents of Beaver Dam. The reception of Mr. and Mrs. Watkins was held at the resilience of the groom's parents Thursday afternoon and evening. It proved a decidedly big affair. A sumptuous sumptu-ous spread was enjoyed by nearly seventy relatives and friends of both couples. The presents were many and handsome. The evening was otherwise delightfully spent. 10 very one seemed to be boiling over with fun and merriment. Mr. and Mrs. Simmons held their reception last evening at the hospitable hos-pitable residence of the bride's par-en par-en Is at Callsfort. Both young couples and their friends participated here also, and we understand the pari' Inula grand time. They also were the recipients of numerous elegant and appropriate, presents. The festivities will conclude with agrand hall at Beaver next Monday Mon-day evening.
