Show Cgnnonvillc News By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Mary Jean Willis and daughters daugh-ters Kati and Koye of Antimony came and Bonnie Willis to Provo where her son, Cornell met them and took her on to Salt Lake City where she received additional treatments on her throat. She is home now and said she is feeling better and it is easier for her to talk. Visiting Bonnie were: . Steven and Earlene Willis, Zion Canyon; Quinn and Georgia came from Capitol Reef, bringing daughter and son in-law Steven and Trista Blackburn, Loa, and their daughter daugh-ter Alisha (who is attending Southern Utah University), Christine, Chris-tine, Troy and Adam. Golden and Roxanna Johnson recently met 13 members of their family at the Ponderosa Resort in Zion Canyon and spent three days there enjoying, each other's company com-pany and reminiscing. Their son, Vaughn, came home with them and visited here for a day. Last week, their daughter Susan Bell of Lancaster, Calif., called and said that her son had been severely se-verely injured in a motorcycle wreck and was to undergo surgery. Many of us remember Darrell (Brownie) Blackwell, who lived in Henrieville and was married to the late Lois Chynoweth. He later remarried and recently lost his wife, Darlene. Sunday, the Golden Johnsons' granddaughter, Misty, and husband, hus-band, Lynn Cox and their son Wyatt, of Ponderosa Resort, visited vis-ited with them. They brought a load of wood and had dinner at their home. Kowan Ott returned home from Zion Canyon where he has been employed this summer. Melanie Ott made a trip to Page, Ariz., one day last week. She was accompanied by their children, Colter, Echo, and Char-lee Char-lee Ott and Mikki Thompson. Gloria Clark and daughter, Nancy Chynoweth, took a day for shopping in Cedar City. Sheldon Clark spent a week in Salt Lake City visiting his brother and sister- in-law, Kenneth and Roma Clark and other special friends there. Mary Jean and Kati Willis came from Antimony to check on Bonnie Willis. Bonnie said she is doing as well as she can. Our LDS Ward has grown by three new members; Catherine Carleton and daughters, Candice and Carlene. They have moved into the former Barbara Werb home. Louise Mangum accompanied her grandson, Lloyd Mathews, on a trip by plane to Oregon. I understand un-derstand there was a football game involved. George and Ada Thompson have returned to their winter retreat re-treat in Las Vegas, Nev. Their daughter, Patty Jo Lutes is staying stay-ing in their home at the present time. Rosemary Fletcher came to spend the day with her parents Clele and Marva Fletcher, and show off her new Chevy Blazer by taking them out for a ride and dinner. Many friends from here attended at-tended the golden wedding party for Bob and Helen Willis last Saturday evening in Henrieville. I really appreciate all of you who have called and given me your news to report. Many people have said, "It's good to see news from Cannonville again". Let's keep it coming! |
