Show Miss Utah, Miss Garfield County Event On Monday ' ' I Triessa Ramsay TROPIC Reigning Miss Utah, Michelle Mobley, will host a countywide "Sendoff for reigning Miss Garfield County, Triessa Ramsay on Monday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Bryce Valley High School. Mobley, who represented Utah i i - -- j Michelle Mobley in the 1998 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, will host Monday night's festivities. She is here to help Ramsay prepare for the to compete in the Miss Utah contest (See SENDOFF on page 2-A) SENDOFF (From Front Page) set for Orem June J 4-1 9. Homecoming queens from Garfield Gar-field County's three high schools will join Monday night's entertainment, enter-tainment, adding their own talents. Laura Pierson, Miss Garfield 1997, will perform a vocal solo, and Esca-lante's Esca-lante's Canyon Country Fiddlers will add their lively music to the show. Triessa will perform her piano solo which she will play for the Orem competition, and she will model her evening gown and swimwear. The audience will be included in the interview portion to help her prepare for interviews she will face in the competition. Michelle will emcee the event and entertain with her outstanding i vocal talent which captured for her a non-finalist award in Atlantic City. S Earlier in the day, Michelle and j- Triessa will visit each high school: Panguitch at 8 a. m., Bryce Valley J at 9:30 a.m., and Escalante at 1 ) p.m. Michelle will be advocating j- her platform, "React-Conflict Reso-; Reso-; lution for Safer Schools" and is endorsed by the Utah State School i Board to speak to the youth. Tri-x Tri-x essa will speak about the impor- tance of "Inclusion" for special needs children in the area. '.; Admission to Monday evening's ; event will be $2 for adults, $1 for -'' K-12 school age children, or $5 per family. Revenues will be used to : :: offset the costs of preparing for the ': Miss Utah Pageant in Orem.
