Show Forest Supervisor Named For Dixie OGDEN - Mary Wagner, the Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada will be the Forest Supervisor Super-visor on the Dixie National Forest according to Jack Blackwell, Regional Re-gional Forester for the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Region of the U.S. Forest Service. "We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Mary's ability and background to lead the Dixie National Na-tional Forest," said Blackwell. "The Dixie has some serious forest health problems as well as other resource management issues which Mary has the proven management and leadership abilities to deal with," Blackwell continued. No stranger to Utah, Wagner was previously District Ranger on the Vernal District of the Ashley National Forest where she provided outstanding leadership in natural resource management and the development devel-opment of community based partnerships. part-nerships. She received the Department Depart-ment of Agriculture's Rural Community Com-munity Assistance National Leadership Leader-ship Award in 1993 for her accomplishments accom-plishments in rural development programs in the local community. Prior to becoming Deputy Forest Supervisor she served almost three years as District Ranger for the Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe. She began her career with the Forest Service as a seasonal employee shortly after receiving a degree in forest management man-agement from Humboldt State University. Uni-versity. She also recently completed com-pleted course work for a Masters in public administration from the University of Utah.
