Show Local Post Take Service Census Monday, March 20, has been1 designated des-ignated by Gunnison Guard Mount, Post 104, American Legion, at which time a service census will be taken by the local legionaires as well as other legions throughout the state of Utah. This movement, inaugurated by the national organization, is meeting meet-ing with hearty approval, and through its medium it is hoped to build the American Legion bigger and better and -finer than ever before. A house to house canvass Is to be made and every former "buddy" will be offered the service of the local members and by united team work a service will be given to all ex-service men. If he needs vocational train-ing train-ing compensation,, holspita treatment, treat-ment, back pay, $60 bonus, he will be taken care of. Some of the objects of the campaign cam-paign which starts on next Monday will be to get every "buddy" cared for by the government, if such care is needed; to explain what Legionaires Legion-aires are trying to do for their country coun-try and comrades; to secure the name and address of every man who served and enroll him as aLegionaire so he may be strong enough to win our battles in his behalf; to build up department and post organizations and show our communities that we mean to stand by our "buddies" and help our communities; to be able to tell congress approximately what proportion each option of adjusted compensation will be chosen, and many other important matters that will be useful and educational to the communities as well as the members of the organization. The several committees selected for this work are highly elated and believe that with the completion of the census a bigger and better feeling feel-ing will prevail among all. One of the mottos sent out from the state offices is "Let's all sell the ; American Legion to our communities, communi-ties, and good citizenshin to man.v. many more men. Let's prove ourselves our-selves willing to serve in peace as well as In war." |
