Show Gunnison Schools Resume Monday After a forced vacation of the! schools, resulting from an epidemic of Influenza, regular sessions will be resumed next Monday morning at the usual starting period. Alter a consultation with Dr. J. A. Hagan, city health physician, and the school officials, It was decided that the dis- j ease had sufficiently cleared to alfow reopening of the schools without a great deal of danger of having aa-other aa-other outbreak of the malady. While the "flu" has visited practically every home in the city in one form or another, there has been a decided change for the better during the past few days and very few new cases havo been reported. Many of the school children who were stricken with the disease are still confined to: their homes, and while not confined to their beds, will be unable to attend at-tend school at the opening next Monday, Mon-day, and for this reason the attendance attend-ance will be far below normal. When school resumes tor the high school students, it will be in the new building. When the school closed arrangements ar-rangements were made to remove the furniture and fixtures from the old building which has been used for the high school to the new structure, and everything will be in readiness next Monday morning for occupying the new building which has just been completed. |
