Let's make Sadie happy her father inaugurated this day. We will meet Marrying Sam. (the gym) and from there the girls will take over. BOOK BARGAIN'S Coming to our library, a new supply of literature books, to arrive ar-rive possibly next week. Arrived several issues of popular pop-ular magazines such as Colliers, fHygeia, Time and Aviation. These mey be loaned from the checking desk. HOME EC. CLUB Miss Rowley, the sewing teacher, teach-er, is organizing a Home Ec. Club consisting of 11th and 12th grade girls that are taking sewing sew-ing and cookfng. Before the club can be formed the constitution of the H.E.C. has to come from Salt Lake, where the head of the club is stationed. There will be several activities carried on during the year. STEIL'S BELLS This year Miss Fenton will a-gain a-gain organize a club called Stell's Bells. It will have a imeetingj I'onee a month on a Thursday. I The newly elected officers are, j Susan Winters, president, Ina Willett, vice president, Donna Olsen, secretary. Ameeting was held last Thursday Thurs-day night where all the girls participated in making flowers for the Senior Hop. Refreshments were also enjoyed. LYCEUM Our second lyceum or the year was held Wednesday 6th period, October 30th. Phyllis and Torrini presented an amusing and highly entertaining program of magic and chalk talk. They gave a combination com-bination of baffling illusions and humorous tricks. The three stu-1 dents who helped Torrini were Joyce Barton, Dennis Runnel and I Grant Radmall. The students enjoyed it very much, but they felt silly at the end of the lyceum when every student went for the "Hare Gag", especially Mr. Banks and Mr. Miner. F.F.A. REPORT KANSAS TRIP Seven tired but happy Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove High School boys were among 172 Utah Future Farmers who arrived in Salt LaTte Saturday Sat-urday afternoon after a nine day trip to Kansas City1.. Missouri, where they attended the National F.F.A. Convention. The Pleasant Grove boys were member of the 112 piece U,ah State F.F.A. band which gave 10 performances at the National meet at which 15.000 Future Farmers from the j United States, Cuba, and Hawaii were in attendance. The boys who made the trip were guests of the Denver Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce at Denver, and visited the home of President TVuman's mother at Independ-' Independ-' ence Missouri. They were guests of the Latter Day Saints of Independence Inde-pendence area at a dinner. |
