The article descriptive of the roads is as follows: One has but to take a trip over the roads in Weber county on the Salt Lake-Ogden hisbwHy to come to the conclusion that good roads In Utah are an actual fact. Weber county Is proud of th- work done the past summer In bringing the farmer close to the merchant. They look forward to the day, praying pray-ing that It may be a the near future, fu-ture, when Salt Lake and Ocden are connected with a public highway. II Carr of the Weber club, made a trip of inspection over the completed complet-ed road. The road from the city limits of Otrdcn to the Divls county line was found in n boulevard condition. Stand pipes at frequent Intervals furulsh water for tho two sprinkling carts which keep the road well watered. The famous sand rldfce, which for years bad been an obstacle to Oc-den-Salt Lake travel, has been done away with. A top coating of clay mixed with the sand gives a surface almost equal .to raucadam, and the parly was Informed by Mr. Madson that the entire cost was only nominal. nomi-nal. While on the trip Judge Howell invited the Automobile club of Utah lo make a trip over the road In the near luture.
