During the remaining weeks of Spring Term, and the academic year '71-72, graduating seniors concentrate on graduation, and release. Entering freshman, transfer students and continuing undergraduate and graduate students however concentrate on financing the academic year '72-73. And if '71-72 is any indication a majority of these students will require financial aid of some kind and there is nothing more powerful than the lure of the scholarship. Close to 200 different scholarships, grants, and assistantship programs are available at the University through the Department of Financial Aids and Scholarships and through specific colleges and departments. Some of these are based solely on achievement by exceptional students and many more are based on both achievement and the need for assistance. Following is a list of all scholarships available at the University for the academic year 1972-73. AWARDS OPEN TO ALL RESIDENT ENTERING FRESHMAN OR TRANSFER STUDENTS: Honors at Entrance Scholarships tuition scholarships. Leadership one year tuition scholarships awarded to 25 outstanding students.
