There were about 75 children chil-dren and mothers throughout the lunch hour, working their way through the stacks of pep-peroni pep-peroni and cheese pizzas at Greenwood. Some came from just down the street, but many pulled up in vans and SUVs. "It helps with the budget," one mother with three kids said. Other budget minded parents par-ents seem to agree. "We're getting more students stu-dents every day," said Alpine District Food Services Director, Direc-tor, Ilene Carter in an interview inter-view Monday. "For example, I just increased Sharon and Greenwood's rate to 200 meals for breakfast and to 400 meals for lunch, and Westmore to 150 and 300." Carter explained that district schools can participate in the program if they have 50 percent per-cent or more of their students who qualify for free or reduced meals during the school year. And once they qualify, then they are eligible for the summer program for up to five years. The JPWoolf Legacy Foundation is an Orem High Choir alumni group created in 2004 by former A'Cappella Choir students (1984-1985) who came together to sing songs, renew friendships, and to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Woolf, whose influence as a choir director impacted their lives. The group has expanded to include all members mem-bers of OHS alumni choirs who will perform at the July concert. The OHS alumni organization organiza-tion realizes the opportunity of giving back to the choir program that greatly influenced influ-enced students' lives.
