National Kids' Day, sponsored by more than 3,000 Kiwanis clubs, will be celebrated for the first time this year on Saturday, November No-vember 19. In succeeding years, the third Saturday in November will be designated as the date for observance. This series of photos shows something of what is hoped to be accomplished by inauguration inaugura-tion of a National Kids' Day. Its purpose is to spur work with underprivileged un-derprivileged children at the community com-munity level so as to make them better citizens, combat juvenile delinquency and, at the same time, insure the children all the pleasures and delights of normal childhood. Because the problems of underprivileged children cannot be solved without providing additional addi-tional money, Kiwanis clubs throughout the United States and Canada will conduct dignified fund-raising drives in connection with National Kids Day.
