Show Alpha Theta i Chapter Formed in Cedar I A total of 27 southern Utan women educators became charter members of Xi Chapter Chap-ter of Alpha Theta State, Delta Del-ta Kappa Gamma Society International In-ternational in ceremonies at College of Southern Utah Saturday, Sa-turday, Nov. 23. I Numbering over 2,000 chap-. chap-. ters throughout the world, the I professional educational organization or-ganization has as its purposes the uniting and honoring of outstanding women educators and the advancement of their professional interests, sponsorship sponsor-ship of desirable education legislation and scholarship programs for women educators, educat-ors, and stimulus of personal and professional growth thru informed interest in current economic, social, political, and educational affairs. New officers of Xi Chapter are Dr. Gwyn Clark, president; presi-dent; Janice Olsen, first vice president; Orma Wood, second Npitl .If" rP Pill - -t, lk - - "'' -" '' - vice president; Elizabeth Dewsnup, recording secretary; Aita Brough, corresponding secretary, and Ada Carpenter, treasurer. Other charter members of the Chapter are Florine Adams, Maxine Adams, Ray-ma Ray-ma Anderson, Mary Anker, Louise Bennett, Mary Ann Bent ley, Neola Brown, Ha ,Corry, Bessie Dover, Claudia i Forsythe, Eulalia Jones, Mar-iam Mar-iam Lister, Blanch LeBaron, ; Carolyn Little, Barta Mel-, Mel-, ville, Eleanor Roberts, Betty I Ann Kingsford, Hcllen Stones, Margeiy Twitchell, Ella Van Groningen, Beryl Vorkink. Louise Bennett, Barta Melville Mel-ville and Eleanor Roberts are from Millard County. All of the other initiates are from Cedar City. Conducting the installation ceremonies following a dinner at CSU were Maurine S.
