Show AGED RESIDENT PASSES AWAY ' Sunday morning, tho spirit of Mra. Margaret J. M. Hamilton took it's flight to realms above after a lingering linger-ing illness, and funeral services were hold In the tabcrnaclo Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. The deceased was born in Indiana May 8thr 1808, and while just a child went with, her parents to Nauvoo, Illinois, Illi-nois, leaving tho latter placo for Salt Lake City in 1843. While living in Nnuyoo, sho -knew tho prophet Joseph Smith and was there at tho time of his martyrdom. After coming to Salt Lake City she with tho family camo to Parowan, arriving in 1853. It was at Parowan she became tho wife of Samuel Hamilton, Ham-ilton, in 1857, who proceeded her to tre spirit world several years ago. From Parowan a few years later she and her husband moved to Cedar, living hero for n short time, then going to Hamilton's Fort. In 1003 tho deceased went to livo in Dixie, whore sho resided until six years ago when sho again came to Cedar where sho resided tho balanco of her life. Mrs. Hnmilton from the time of her youth hns always been an ardent Latter-day Saint, living the principles as closely as was humanly possible Sho was devout, earnest nnd was held in esteem by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. The deceased leaves ,four children to mourn her depnrturc, one son nnd threo daughters. At tho funernl services over the remains of tho deceased, prayer was offered by Bp. E. M. Corry, the ' speakers being, Elder A. G. Matheson, ' Elder Chas. Adams of Parowan, and Councellor M. D. Higbcc. , Benudic-i Benudic-i tion was pronounced by Eldor E. J. i Palmer. Appropriate singing was rendered by the choir under the leadership of Director Jas. West. Solos were sung by E. M. Corry nnd Gordon Matheson. |
