Show Building Military Might With their unflinching determination deter-mination to destroy the American Ameri-can system and take over the nation, the Soviets must have dominant military power. To achieve it they must maneuver the United States into unilateral unila-teral (one-sided) disarmament while building up the might of the Soviet Union. And they have. Here is the chilling news from an objective source: the International Institute of Strategic Studies, London, England, Eng-land, in its Special Report of April 10, 1969: "Soviet Russia has become the full equal of the United States in military and political terms and is likely to overtake America in ICBMs by the middle of 1969 . . . The proliferation pro-liferation of submarines, including in-cluding long-range types, has transformed Russia from a military land animal into a military universal animal . . . The United States has lost the desire and ability to be the world's dominant power." Soviet Superiority And here are two shocking reports re-ports from American sources: NATIONAL STRATEGY COMMITTEE, American Security Se-curity Council, May 1969: "It is no longer necessary to suppose sup-pose . . . that the Soviets will aim for strategic military superiority. Reality now conforms con-forms to theory. We now know that the Soviet's military objective ob-jective is strategic superiority because they have passed 'parity' and are still building. The combined total of ICBMs, IR-MRBMs (Intermediate and Medium Range Missiles) and SLMs (Sea-Launched Missiles) is now estimated as 2,750 for the U.S.S.R. to 1,710 for the U.S.A." In his testimony February 20 to the Armed Services Com-mitte, Com-mitte, Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird made these disclosures: dis-closures: (1) The Soviet Union is striving for "first strike" superiority; (2) The Russians are building the number of missiles they need to so utterly destroy the United States it cannot even retaliate; (3) They are improving and expanding their ABM (defensive) system which they began deploying in 1963; (4) The Soviets are in a "crash" program to overtake the U. S. lead in atomic submarines; sub-marines; (5) They are deploying deploy-ing a Fractional Orbit Bombardment Bom-bardment System (FOBS), a "first strike" space weapon that launches its multiples of warheads from orbit. The U. S. has none. Next week: The Agitation for U. S. Disarmament. Looking Ahead lVi - L Dr. George S. Benson & A President NATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM , Searcy, Arkansas . Here are the historic declarations declara-tions on take-over, out of the mouths of the Red bosses themselves: "The Communists declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions." condi-tions." The founder of Communism, Com-munism, Karl Marx, said this in his COMMUNIST MANIFESTO, MANI-FESTO, published in 1948. "As soon as we are strong enough to defeat capitalism (the U. S.) as a whole, we shall immediately take it by the scruff of the neck." Nikoli Lenin, who led the bloody revolution revo-lution that seized Russia in 1917, wrote this in 1920 (Selected (Se-lected Works, Vol. VIII.) "To Bury" The U.S.A. "The victory of the revolution revolu-tion in Russia is the beginning 1 of the groundwork for world revolution." Josef Stalin, who became Red boss after Lenin, wrote this in "The October Revolution," published in Moscow Mos-cow in 1940. "Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you (the U. S.)l" Nikita, Stalin's "hatched man" who came to power after Stalin's death, said this to the U. S. Ambassador at a Kremlin party, November 17, 1956. He repeated the statement frequently. fre-quently. "With all the talk about friendship, peace and 'building bridges,' does the Soviet Union still have as its primary objective ob-jective the overthrow of capitalism?" capi-talism?" This question was asked of Soviet Premier Aleksei Kosygin at the end of a press conference in New York, July 1967. The Soviet spokesman of the moment replied: re-plied: "Of course! " |
