Show RAILROAD TO SAUNA COAL Prof. J. M. Jensen of the B. Y. U. has returned from Salina and vicinity, in Sevier county, where he has spent several days in university extension work. He reports that the people of northern Sevier county are anticipating antici-pating the building of a railroad in the near future to the coal beds in Salina canyon. Both the D. & R. G. and the Union Pacific are apparently in the field- The D. & R. G. has had concessions con-cessions for several years, but has failed to act. The Union Pacific is now seeking concessions, and unless the D. & R. G. nets before April 5, will probably prob-ably be given an opportunity to build. The people generally, says Professor Pro-fessor Jensen, appear to be prosperous. pros-perous. The First ward of Salina and the Aurora ward are contemplating contem-plating building new meeting houses in the near future. |
